How To Start A Craft Business - Tip 3: Know Your Knowledge

We picked this up in tip #2 – know your knowledge, but here I want to explain it further.

Although you need to start your business with a skill you also need to learn to level up that skill to show evolving expertise. This grows your current client relationships through inspiration and draws new potential client bases from the skills you have picked up.

It also allows you to continue to create unique pieces and charge prices where you see ‘true’ profit… it also keeps your competitors on their toes, especially when the market starts to see your uniqueness as a market trend.

Be prepared and open to learning new things, whether it’s how to make ‘x’, or a new system that could benefit your workflow, or business knowledge.
