Introducing the Craft Biz Incubator - Your Best Chance for Success!

Last time here on the blog we talked about my journey from hobby to successful craft business and how getting the right help, following my tips you can also enjoy a successful and profitable business. Today on the podcast and blog I wanted to tell you what happened next for me, so that you can understand how the Craft Biz Incubator came about and why I feel it’s your best chance at success on a budget.

My business journey continued… Introducing the Craft Biz Incubator!

In August 2016 I had a tough decision to make… I had to close Sara’s Texture Crafts, my very successful 11-year-old craft business.

My decision wasn’t a light one. I had major health issues resulting from fertility treatment, sparking allergic reactions to wool in the form of asthma and eczema. My 20kg weekly dye sessions had become impossible to get through without attacks and bleeding hands.

It was devastating because business was booming, and I was actually at a point where I needed to invest in upping my production capacity to nearer 100kg a week and I was very almost hitting my 7-figures of turn-over in 11 years, which was a major milestone I wanted to crack.

But S**T happens, and I must confess I was devastated!

Putting my health first I decided to sell up.

Whilst working on my plan to sell it struck me that I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do next, so I started to trial a few work opportunities. I knew that self-employment was my main concern… 11 years out of the mainstream work game and I had no intentions on going back to work for someone else.

One of the things I tried during this time was a little blog called My Indie Life Blog (My Independent Life). Here I started talking about running a handmade business. I soon realised this was my calling from the blog comments, emails and the number of copies I sold of my first book, ‘30 days to a better Etsy shop’.

Suddenly I felt alive again.

By May 2017 I had officially sold Sara’s Texture Crafts and launched My Indie Life Blog to the world as a coaching and course-led business for craft entrepreneurs… that’s you! Since then I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing creatives to develop their businesses further.

The one thing that was missing for me in this new venture was a community space where you could network with other creatives in an encouraging environment, built to help you hone your skills and your business. Community was so important to me as a creative business owner and my connections were relationships I cherished, so giving that to you was now my concern.

I’ve been working away and building that platform…

I’ve talked a lot about why I believe the Craft Biz Incubator is the right choice for your growing business, but what I haven’t really covered yet is results. So, I want to tell you about Caroline of Gorgeous Yarns who is one of my long-term 1-2-1 coaching clients. We started working together in September 2017, when she was bringing in just £8k in gross sales per year. We did a small amount of work together before she took some time off for health reasons and to retire from her career in the NHS.

Caroline is an inspiringly, enthusiastic business owner. She adores her work and her customers. Her dream is to have the craft business she wished she had had the courage to pursue earlier. Coming back in 2018 for a full year of coaching she had already increased her monthly average income to £800 a month from the tips I had given her.

Her potential was just warming up!

Caroline has worked tirelessly to build her business in the last year, using the tools I have given her (which is a fraction of what is available in the Craft Biz Incubator) and I’m so thrilled to say that she has increased her gross sales to £24k per year!!

And what’s more I know she will smash our target for this year.

Because she is open to learning,

She is fearless,

She wants this,

And she is more than capable… as are you!

Join us now in the Craft Biz Incubator to start your fearless journey!
